God existed before He created the world. The world was well planned and God supports it. God blessed creation, which means that all creation is holy. God created everything in Heaven and on Earth in six days.
According to the Scriptures, creation is a gift from a loving Creator God. From the bodies we inhabit, the air we breathe, the sun we enjoy, the food we eat, the flowers we collect, the water we drink, the ground we walk on and the pets we love, to the pleasures we enjoy and the destinations we visit on vacation, life is full of good gifts that we can manage and enjoy. God made the earth and the heavens exist out of nothing. Let us now explore the question that is at the heart of all of this.
What does Genesis 1 say? Simply put, it says that one God created everything out of nothing and that he did it in six days and then rested on the seventh day. He spent three days shaping the world and then three days filling it. And, finally, he created humanity uniquely in his image. On a broad level, a creationist is someone who believes in a god who is the absolute creator of heaven and earth, out of nothing, through an act of free will.
This deity is generally thought of as “transcendent”, meaning beyond human experience, and is constantly involved ('imminent') in creation, ready to intervene as needed, and without whose constant concern creation would cease or disappear. Christians, Jews and Muslims are all creationists in this regard. They are generally referred to as “theists”, which distinguishes them from “deists”, that is, people who believe that there is a designer who may or may not have created the material they are working on and who doesn't interfere once the design act is finished. The focus of this discussion is on a more limited sense of creationism, the meaning normally found in popular writing (especially in the United States today, but which is expanding rapidly around the world).
Here, creationism means taking the Bible, particularly the first chapters of Genesis, as literally true guides to the history of the universe and of the history of life, including humans, here on Earth (Numbers 199). Evil, which I consider an anti-divine stance, what the Bible calls wickedness. It was not part of the original creation in any way. Genesis Flood enjoyed tremendous popularity among the faithful and gave rise to a flourishing Creation Science Movement, in which Morris in particular and his co-workers and believers, especially Duane T.
The leading historian of the creationism movement, Ronald Numbers (200), is particularly concerned about this fact. The three basic interpretations are Young Earth Creationism (YEC), Old Earth Creationism (OEC), and allegorical approaches. If you don't believe in the doctrine of creation, you probably believe that you didn't come from anyone, that you're alive on earth for nothing, and that when you die you won't go anywhere. For the time being, continue to defer questions about the relationship between intelligent design theory and more traditional forms of creationism.
Undoubtedly, this is why Herman Bavinck, Francis Schaeffer and many others emphasized the importance of the doctrine of creation as, what Bavinck called, the “starting point of true religion”. I thought the days of Creation were long periods of time, and I had little sympathy for eschatological speculations about Armageddon and so on. People who don't understand the doctrine of creation and the doctrines related to it want to die. It should be noted that the arguments are not and are not intended to comfort creationism as such.
It's hard to imagine that there is any topic within Christianity that has been responsible for more debate and disagreement than the doctrine of creation. A group of Christians who use the name “evolutionary creationists” or “theistic evolutionists” (TE) believe that God created the Earth with the potential for life to develop by naturalistic methods. Almost all creationists (in the Christian field) are what is theologically known as premillennialists, since they believe that Jesus will come soon and reign over the world before the Last Judgment. As the debates unfolded, controversies arose about the date and nature of creation among biblical Christians.
